CFA TICA ACFA FIFE 9 points 10 points 9 points 10 points You will see judges checking for length be either stretching your cats or by holding them on the table as you see to the left. This judge appears to be checking just the face and eyes, but he is evaluating so much more by this one action. Notice how this girl is standing on the table. Are legs and feet straight? How's body length? Frequently, you will see a judge quickly check the tail length as he/she sets the cat back on all 4 legs on the table.

Measuring Length to Height Ratio
The two videos below are more for breeders than for judging because there's way more detail in measuring the ratio between the length of the body and the height. However, it will be a great tool for breeders who think their cats meet the standard but don't understand why judges may not be as impressed with their cat's size. Judges are not going to be even close to the detail as Grace is explaining in this video, however, at home breeders should be evaluating the body length of their breeding cats. This video will help you do that.
