Body /Tail Length

This is how tail length is determined.

CFA/TICA/FIFE
Tail: flexible, wide at base, tapering; equal to body length.
ACFA
Tail: Equal to body length, wide at base, tapering, flexible.

All four associations agree but descriptive words are not in the same order in ACFA as they are in CFA, TICA, and FIFE.

You will see the judges take the tail and briefly pull it forward where it should reach the shoulders of the cat in a standing position. This is how the tail length is determined in the Show Rings.
